You're in a pickup basketball game and one kid on your side launches a 3 pt shot and makes it. Man, your team is shitouttaluck, because that gunner is going to keep shooting that shot no matter who's standing open at 12 feet. People who started out buying 100 share lots of dot.bombs and making 100% every quarter were bound to crash and burn. I remember someone, somewhere in 2000 stating that Warren Buffet didn't know how to invest. I took a glance at your KLAC chart and would have to say it is a question of short term vs. medium term. There's a little short term weakness in the chart but overall it's very strong.stockcharts.com [h,a]diclyiay[pb10!b50!b200!f][vc60][iut!Lh14,3!La12,26,9]&pref=G If you had profits in the position that you wanted to book, fine. I think you'll naturally see the 10 and 50 DMAs diverge and converge as the stock runs and then pauses to recover. I guess what I'm saying is I don't see clear evidence that it wants to reverse here. The stochs turned down a while back, could be getting ready to turn back up soon. Otoh, there's a lot of buying and selling going on between 64 and 66--does today's close at 63.21 mean a breach of that support area? Volume was good but not overwhelming. I think you probably did a rational thing and could easily lay on the position again tomorrow if you changed your mind. I did a similar thing with HWP on Friday and sold off to book some profits. Now, with this chart, I'm glad because I think I'll be able to put the trade back on lower:stockcharts.com [h,a]diclyiay[pb10!b50!b200!f][vc60][iut!Lh14,3!La12,26,9]&pref=G Kb
