is buying real estate now, similar to buying tech stocks at the end of 1999? IMO, no, it isn't the same, despite the Barron's article. Real estate is IMO about location, location, location....and if you are buying in the right area, long term it should be a good investment. I'm sure that there are some areas of the country where making an investment in real estate would not be a good idea based on the local economy....but again that is part of the process, of buying in the right area.
