Actel posts small Q1 profit with sales rising 3% sequentially

SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Actel Corp. today reported a 3% sequential increase in revenues to $33.1 million in the first quarter from $32.1 million in Q4 of 2001. Actel's sales were 27% lower than $45 million in the first quarter last year.

The Sunnyvale-based company had a $395,000 net income, including one-time charges and other items, compared to a net loss of $2.5 million in the prior quarter.

On a pro-forma basis, excluding charges and special items, Actel had a net income of $1.2 million compared to $1.1 in the fourth quarter last year.
