SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Integrated Device Technology Inc. today posted an 8% sequential increase in revenues to $86.6 million for the company's fourth fiscal quarter, ended March 31, compared to $80.2 million in the prior quarter. IDT's sales were 59.3% lower than $212.9 million in the quarter last year.

The Santa Clara-based chip maker had a net loss of $20.0 million in the just-ended quarter, including charges and other one-time items, compared to a net income of $214,000 in the prior fiscal quarter, which ended Dec. 31.

"I am pleased that our business returned to growth in the fourth fiscal quarter," said Jerry Taylor, chief executive officer of IDT. "Overall order rates held firm throughout the quarter at levels supporting a resumption in growth in our business." He said the improvement was led by chip applications for enterprise and storage systems.
