Of course, had we started in '90, Saddam probably would've been gone by now. Perhaps, but we had an eight year period during which American Foreign Policy was being run by neophytes. Based on the way in which the ejection of weapons inspectors was [mis]handled, I have little confidence that the previous administration would have been capable of running a mission to overthrow Saddam... Neophytes, right! Its been very powerful watching professional diplomats putting together a peace process for Israel/Palestine, and watching them catch bin Laden and putting him on trial. I can't wait for them to nation build Africa. I hope they can finish it before they have to leave at the end of 2004.
