Heck, even out in the lilly white, relatively wealthy burbs where I live a woman walking around alone late at night could easily ... um ... uh ... hm ... well, she could turn an ankle stepping off a curb in the dark and have to drag herself to a phone to call 911.

But seriously, we had a daytime kidnap/murder once, but the people who did it, (who were, naturally, from out of town), are headed for death row at the moment.
