I hate the flourescents, I normally go for the incandescent, but did I say I compost. I appreciate the link, and I'm sympathetic to those anwr people, but that's like asking a logger if there is anything wrong with logging an old growth forest. The logger see nothing wrong with it, and I don't blame him, but there's only so much old growth kicking around, and I'm a lefty loon that would like to see those areas protected. The world is getting smaller and more cramped, why screw with Alaska, there's plenty of time in the centuries ahead to suck the oil out of Alaska, what's the rush, other than an oil lobby breathing down the President's back. You say the tundra is an empty wasteland, but it is not so, it teems with life, plays and important eco role. I'd like to see it protected. Because you are unable to see anything there only attests to your purposeful ignorance.

There is nothing wrong with leaving anwr alone. Nuclear power imho is good over all but i worry about safety. If trains can collide which are simple systems to manage only a fool would claim that nuclear energy is foolproof safe. We as a nation must do more research into extracting hydrogen. It is the ultimate fuel That and conservation should be the conerstones of our energy policy. detox from oil would end many problems in the me. BTW I have a big house but Inever took the time to count the compact flourescents we use. We would use more but my wife thinks they are ugly. Sorta like coal mines. A vacant liberal mind is no more harmful than a conservative closed one.
