Pravin- Anyone care to speculate as to why AMD would want to hold it's annual shareholders meeting on the same day as Intel's?

For sure, all the top analysts will go to the Intel meeting. The B team analysts will go to the AMD meeting. But since the shareholder meeting is for shareholders, not analysts, this could be desirable.

Of course, maybe the explanation is that AMD got the banquet hall at a great price, so they decided the date based on that.

Pravin,

I remember 2 years ago, when I attended the shareholders' meeting, Intel scheduled some analyst conference to conflict with it.

I just don't see the logic in it.<<<<<<

I haven't heard about Intel's meeting so I am not sure. If it is, Jerry once again wants to steal Intels thunder with his going away party. How many analyists wouldn't love to see him go. Besides, it appears Jerry is gettin one hell of a going away present from MSFT. You have got to make hay when the sun shines.
