<How can MSFT eliminate INTC? Build fabs for AMD?>

The ideal situation for Microsoft is when Intel and AMD each have 50% market share and competitive product lines. Bill doesn't like one dominating the other. Bill wants Intel and AMD to improve performance and lower the price of the x86 platform while keeping the x86 standard healthy. Bill doesn't like when Intel tries to hurt the standard with proprietary junk like MMX, SSE, SSE2 and IA-64 just to keep AMD one step behind. Also Bill doesn't like when Intel is sticking their dirty little hands in core software technologies like compilers, Linux and Java.
