Under the ruse of self-defense, Isra-El can try to sell the idea of a complete evacuation of the Palestinians to Jordan and elsewhere. Or they can continue to incite the Palestinians and the wider Arab world into a conflict they know they can prevail in, and finally take the land permanently making a historic claim of hostilities (hostilities they initiate).

It's sad. The only people that can bring economic development to the Palestinians is Israel. Certainly the corrupt, greedy, cruel Palestinian leaders will never be able to bring peace and prosperity to the Palestinian people. If the Palestinian people lose to Israel, the Palestinian people end up winning. All other options will bring misery to the Palestinians.
