Good summary on Candente. If the Barrick find is indeed in Quiruvilca, then we shouldn't forget PAA as well. They not only have the mine there but a number of exploration properties within a few km -- including at least one jv'd with Barrick. From the PAA website...

<<The Quiruvilca mine is one of Peru's oldest mines with evidence of mining activity dating back to at least the 1500's. The mine is located at an elevation of 3,800 meters in the Andes Mountains of northern Peru, approximately 130 kilometers inland from the coastal city of Trujillo. Asarco Incorporated operated Quiruvilca from 1925 until September of 1995, when Pan American Silver acquired its 99.7 percent interest in the mine>>
