They spoke of the homosexual person as a tribal gift--a gift to teach spirituality, tolerance, perspective, and creative thinking outside the box. Such a person was honored, and thus the entire tribe benefitted.

Do you think they meant that homosexuals are more spiritual, more creative, more tolerant of things other then sexuality and more able to "think outside the box", then heterosexuals, or only that some specific homosexuals who they knew and had a high opinion of had these qualities?

If you think it was the first do you agree with the elders?
