It's a buying opp if that story is wrong. Man, all these implosions makes me think it's not safe to be long anything; it's like a bear market one stock at a time. Gotta be really careful, probably just buy things with a lot of bad news already priced in.

15:51 ET More on airport security plans : The Dept of Transportation press release which details the plans for explosive detection machine purchases noted in the Reuters story says that the TSA (Transportation Security Admin) will deploy up to 1,100 machines by the end of this year. It does not make clear if 1,100 represents the total purchase as opposed to just the current year deployment target, and some on the Street are questioning whether the Reuters story is misleading; we can't confirm anything beyond the contents of the Dept of Tranportation's press release, which is not definitive on that issue. LLL -3.01, INVN -5.46, OSIS -2.14.

15:40 ET Reuters reports airport security plans : Reuters report mentioned in 15:32 comment includes these details: government will buy up to 1,100 large explosive detection machines instead of the more than 2,000 previously estimated. Story indicates that 200 such machines are already in place and 400 more have been ordered. LLL and INVN have received all of the orders to date, though OSIS has moved in sympathy with these stocks. All three have been hit by this story: LLL -4.50, INVN -6.35, OSIS -2.04.

15:33 ET LLL and OSIS also getting hit on Reuters story - see 15:32 comment :

15:32 ET InVision Tech down on potential reduced govt spending (INVN) 29.82 -4.53: -- Update -- Getting hammered on a Reuters report that govt is dramatically reducing plans to buy large $1 million machines to scan checked luggage for bombs.
