Maybe, but it's interesting to see a "Barton MP" product along that time frame instead. Maybe AMD still sees K7 as being the low cost part for them. The cost for Hammer has yet to be found out, and I suspect we won't find out for a long time, but given SOI, the package, and larger die size vs K7, I would suspect a significant adder, and perhaps AMD wants to keep a backup, just in case. wbmw
