Re : Wall Street's amazement at news of Leap CFO departure.

(I am copying my post # 19571 from the Yahoo Leap Wireless message board

messages.yahoo.com ).

A few observations in response to Bloomberg's observations :

"Leap Wireless International Inc. shares fell ... after the mobile-phone
company said its first-quarter loss widened and Senior Vice President of
Finance Thomas Willardson resigned.

Willardson, who also was treasurer, left "in recent weeks," spokeswoman
Sarah Thailing said, without being more specific. She said Leap hadn't
had a chief financial officer."

The 2000 annual report (page 23) said Harvey White was :

Chairman and CEO

The 2001 annual report (page 29) said Harvey White was :

Chairman, CEO, and interim CFO.

The 2000 annual report had a photo of (then) CFO Thomas Willardson on
page 18.

The 2001 annual report had no picture of Thomas Willardson anywhere.

Gee, what are all of those highly-paid wireless analysts on Wall Street
getting paid for ?

I sure don't know ...

Jon.
