I was simply trying to make a different point - that it's unlikely from Jerry's comments that Hammer will clock significantly higher than the K7. Performance comparisons, given the higher IPC, are a different story, though. Still, I think you exaggerate with your comparison. You are starting to sound like pgerassi. Next, you'll be telling me that a 2GHz Opteron will be dual core and perform like an 8.0GHz Northwood. ;-) wbmw
