Lindy you are vastly more optimistic than I am. The UN never misses an opportunity to condemn either the US or Israel? Where else can the US be left off the Human Rights commission but Syria and Iran can be members? Where else can Zionism be equated with Rascism (something probably many hear incorrectly believe as well) when anyone looking at the realities of whether rascist remarks come more from Israel, her press, and her people, or if in reality the rascist remarks, comments, and policies eminate almost exclusively from the sponsors of that resolution, Israel's neighbors.

As a child I remember being taught how important the UN was. When I went to NY and visited the UN, I thought, wow, I'm standing in the place that will bring peace to the world.

Now, I realize what a farce the UN is. I wish we weren't wasting good real estate on it. The suggestion that it be moved either to Afganistan or the Sudan makes perfect sense to me.
