US SEC suspends Investco trade through May 10

WASHINGTON, April 29 (Reuters) - The Securities and Exchange Commission on Tuesday halted trading in financial services provider Investco Inc. (OTC BB:IVSOE.OB - news) through May 10 because questions have been raised about the accuracy of information in the company's press releases.

The SEC said there were concerns about the company's assets, business combinations and current financial condition as well as a tender offer for Investco's outstanding shares.

According to a statement, "The commission is of the opinion that the public interest and the protection of investors require a suspension of trading" in Investco, whose stock closed on Friday at $1.65 on the Bulletin Board.

A spokesman for the Boca Raton, Florida-based company did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Investco, which used to be known as Intraco Systems Inc., was founded in 1980 and provides financial guarantees and other financial services, according to a recent press release.
