"Data is withheld" on ANWAR drilling sites, exactly. And they want to drill offshore too which is particularly damaging and hazardous. Easy site for oil spills which will cause permanent damage. And they WILL happen. They will also happen on land. There are presently LAKES of oil in other fragile parts of Alaska where they're already drilling. This mess can never be cleaned up in ten lifetimes. In other words, a toxic dump miles long. Expect a lot more if ANWAR drilling ever passes. And the wild-life will slowly die off just as they have in the lower 48.

Thanks for your chemistry lesson but hydrogen cars are already being built and even Bush admits is the way of the future. Just so long as he forestalls it for 20 years he's fine with it.

That is not the only theory on the origin of Earth's hydrocarbons.

The creation of the hydrocarbons from Carbon Dioxide and Water, was done by plants, eons ago with energy provided by the sun.
