Hi Jim,

The S&P 500 is down 27% from its peak. I consider that a correction.

The other thing to keep in mind about the S&P 500 is that they conveniently substitute winners for losers on an ongoing basis. I'll bet if you re-did the index based on the stocks that were in it in 1999/2000, you get a different number than 1100.

The DOW ...... doesn't mean anything.
