Well it seems my attempted trade hoping for the bounce on the MSFT news did not pan out. I guess I hold on to my shares which I got at 11.60 for now, with a stop loss of course.

Dan, I imagine that Intel probably outsources a number of different ICs. Some of their networking equipment, for example, cannot be fabbed using their equipment, since they require GaAs or SiGe. I imagine that most, if not all, of Intel's chipsets make use of their own fabs, but because of different manufacturing requirements, who knows what other kinds of chips they choose to outsource? Intel does make a wide variety of ICs, so assuming that the article was mistaken is more than likely a good assumption.
