I'm not so sure about shorting small caps. The trend seems to be more a day of reckoning for the big caps, hence the underperformance of the OEX and NDX, IMHO. Would be curious to see what the A/D line looked like in 1974 when the Nifty Fifty took it on the chin.

Dow has a lot of support right here, including the 200 DMA, but that OEX chart looks like it has a ways to go still. [Edit] 200 DMA pierced but recovered (9935.46).

BA broke 42; may be headed to 38.

I've been doing well this year with a combination of relatively safe longs and golds, and I regret ever selling a single share of my gold stocks. -ng-
