I want the best service possible whomever can provide it. We both do; I'm not sure why you would think I feel otherwise. The simple, indisputable truth is that in my lifetime Democrats have made bad, bad presidents, while Republicans have done better: BAD --- CLINTON CARTER LBJ KENNEDY GOOD ---- BUSH2 BUSH1 REAGAN FORD NIXON I just don't see that there is any disputing who, out of these, make the better leaders. I'm sure we'll agree that Nixon was the worst of the Republicans, but in my opinion he was a better leader than any of the Democrats listed. Certainly, Clinton's transgressions and abuse of power were at least as bad as Nixon's. I do believe Carter and LBJ were fundamentally decent individuals who just weren't competent to do the job. I don't apologize for Nixon, and on the decency scale he falls below both LBJ & Carter, in my book. But LBJ just killed too many Americans to be given a pass.
