I am not acquainted in detail with the provisions of the Controlled Substances Act. As far as I can see, the ruling hinges on whether Ashcroft had authority, under the Act, to forbid the use of controlled narcotics for assisted suicide. I simply don't know.......

I did not know that Oregon was so forward thinking. Do you have to be a resident of the State?

It is good to see society developing some compassion for suffering, as well as some additional respect for individual rights.

How could anyone be opposed to death with dignity as an individual choice? Go figure...
