Hospice is a wonderful movement. I'm glad to see it flourishing. It doesn't have all the answers, but it's important.

I think hospice care is a wonderful alternative for people. However, it should never trump the right of anyone to choose the time of their death. For those who have done their forgiving and thanking and goodbyes, and for whom life holds no more personal meaning or point--one hopes that they do not need to attempt extraordinary measures which risk further suffering--when they have chosen to rest in peace.
