MARKET TALK: Stocks Reverse In Face Of Technical Trouble

1:44 (Dow Jones) Stocks are essentially flat for now, a development that has
to have the bulls somewhat encouraged. Morning trade showed little evidence of
a bounce, although such quick selloffs, especially after days of weakness,
often can get reversed. The intraday rebound also comes after the Dow and
Nasdaq Comp traveled below potentially big resistance levels - the technicians
will tell you that it often takes several attempts at these levels before you
get an actual close below them. Anyway, session has feel that worst is over for
equities. DJIA off 15 at 10114, Nasdaq Comp up 7 to 1720, and S&P 500 flat at
1092. (TG)
