... good and well argued points, but if Saudi Arabia initiates a halt in oil deliveries (even if it lasts a relative short time), they will screw up world markets in the turn of a press release - panic in the world oil, stock, bond, currency and energy markets - and at a time when world economies are quite fragile ...

... our administration is going to have to act with strength, speed, imagination and creativity ... something I am not sure they have the understanding or political base to do ...

... that's what I think anyhow ... let's see what they actually do ...

... my hope is, with the help of Russia, Japan, Europe, China and the UN, they will impose a settlement on both sides ... but I don't know if they have either the brains or the balls to do it ...

Saudi Arabia doesn't want a Palestinian State next to Israel; they want a Palestinian State instead of Israel.

So, when Saudi Arabia recently presented the Israelis full normalization of relations in exchange for a Palestinian state on the West Bank and Gaza, what was that?

I know, it is a rehash of the offer they have been making for several decades, most notably the Fahd Peace Plan in 1981. Israel's response to that plan was to call it a "peace offensive" and to send military fighter jets over Saudi oil fields as a threat. Bear in mind this offer is merely international law, UN Resolutions 242 and 338.
