And you don't think they did that gratis, do you? They were making a very strong point to US.....we take care of you and you take of us.

This is an absurd statement. Obviously, we know precisely how dependent we are on foreign oil. That's why the Bush Administration has been pushing for ANWR. It is funny to me that you pick up on this "subtle point" a week later.

No, you make such ridiculous and absurd statements with such stupid authority, its tiring.........ANWR oil production, were we to start tomorrow putting it together, would not be available for 3-5 years. Read that and put it to memory. Besides, drilling was not approved. Read that and memorize it. By memorizing these lines, you will be a much more effective poster......I promise you.

its why it p*sses the hell out of me that we are so dependent on oil, and that the Tims and the D. Rays of world can ramble on how there is nada wrong with pigging out at the trough when it comes to oil.

This issue is about freedom and capitalism -- the foundations of America.

Oh BS, this is about D.Ray having his boat and car and God knows what else. You want soldiers to go over where ever and bomb whomever in order to fight this war on terrorism, and may be give up their lives..........but God forbid should you suffer any depravation during that time. And sorry big guy, those long lines at the airport are not equivalent depravation.

Why are so quick to give up our freedom to drive an SUV or a diesel truck if we want to -- but you're so protective of selected other freedoms, much as the ACLU is?

I know you will never be able to get this one......but freedom to drive an SUV is a false idol. That's not what freedom is all about.

While you are critical of me and my positions, these are just glaring inconsistencies that make your positions totally incredible and untenable. They are, frankly, not rational.

That's right.....when you can't mount an argument that's creditable; one that effectively neutralizes an opponents position, you call the opponent irrational. Its the oldest trick the book.......
