You must have really been pissed at spending $50,000 to rescue that mangy dog in the Pacific.

Did you hear how the dog came to be left behind? A few weeks ago when the ship foundered and the liner rescued the crew, I heard that the liner wouldn't take the dog so the captain left some food and water for the dog. Then, just the other day when the ship was found, I heard that the captain had forgotten about the dog when he left the ship. Did you hear anything definitive?

Depends on whose money it was. If it was private money, NMFP. If it was tax money, I'd call it seriously inappropriate. If it was my money I would call it outrageous, though of course it wouldn't be. I do hope that whoever spent it knows how many hungry human children could have been fed with that money.

I hope somebody at least got to eat the dog.

Nooooooo. Not at all. But then I'm a dog lover. Have been all my life. So I may be slightly prejudiced.
