I think the stocks are trading like gold is $320 already.... may take a while, and wouldn't be surprised to see a decline in them with the metal only grinding up. That said, 'grinding up' is very bullish for the metal IMO, as opposed to spiking around.

Concur about Thursday's price action being a ST sell signal
if you are not committed to holding for IT or LT appreciation. There are rising wedges in the 4 gold stocks I own, GG being less pronounced:

Well, I own FGX.v but GLG is the trading proxy. Conspiracy theorists would look to the recent break of the US dollar below support, and claim manipulation in another dike-plugging effort to keep gold from signalling the break as a point of concern. Me, I just watch price with one eye and the LT fundamentals with the other.
