There. Lazarus can no longer post to me, on this subject or make any direct or indirect references to my post; nor can he amend the rule, because that would be referring to my post which says that an amendment is in order.
Wrong! And the former moderator said so previously. The former moderator held that this was like living in, say, NYC in New York state in the USA and announcing that you had resigned from all of them and that therefore the laws of NYC, NY, and USA did not apply to you. So just how much attention do you think a NYC cop, a NY state policeman, or the FBI would pay to that?

And in fact precisely that situation existed on this thread WRT X and I. You notice how much attention I paid to it when the moderator function got involved?

Oh, yes. I agree the rule should have made it clear that notoorabout was binding on both the requestor and requestee. It was understood that that was the case.

However, that is history. I have resigned. If anyone else wishes to take the helm, they may contact me.

To take this subject and relate it to politics and governance. This is an illustration of the problem[s] in developing laws and/or treaties, etc..

Yes, this microcosm has lots of parallels. Perhaps that's part of its fascination. I agree with you about the application of rules. I used to write such things for a living. Tricky business, that.
