time you left your windswept Island

I will only leave here for Wakes and Weddings. I lived the last 40 years in LA

a technological, business and political argument....cheaper to buy and use a horse a hundred years ago than to run a car ...cheaper to buy and run an old, high pollution car....Their eyes won't itch and burn and they won't cough.

These may be technological and political arguments, but they don't hold water as business ones, IMO. We already have the GM electric car, which California has bent over backwards to try to sell for GM, and it has been a dud. The cars today are so much lower in pollution than 20 years ago that the LA basin is as clean as it will ever get. It suffers from a temperature inversion, (the settlers who showed up a couple of hundred years ago complained about the smoke in the area from cooking and heating fires.)

I still maintain that a Hydrogen fueled car will come into vogue when oil is no longer a viable fuel. We are down to "TWT" on this issue.
