JT, the VXN never lies. The VXN was low when I shorted QQQ at a higher level than it is today. And it portended a nasty drop to 7 mth lows. And I learned something from it. I learned that low implied volatility doesn't always indicate an immediate drop, but that sometimes you might have to wait a week or so. Meanwhile, the OTC/Arktos went to an extreme that you found bullish just before NDX made that 7 mth low. And about being pompous or anything along those lines - don't care. I am here to make money and hang around SI because there are people here I can learn from. The scorecard here is how much money you make or lose. And if you want to use me as a contrarian then bear in mind that I have covered all shorts and am inclined to go long although haven't pulled the trigger yet. Fianl point - you insinuate I laft this thread to escape explaning my "bad trade". Wrong. I left before that because it was impossible to have a civilised conversation about the markets with you. You still think your methodology is the best and that people will pay you to read your views. Well, it may work out for you in the long term. But if the long term is what you are concerned with, don't criticise me for making a <10% loss on one trade that I was sensible enough to be stopped out on before it was a >10% loss. And bear in mind I could have held for a profit, but in the same timescale it would have taken for that to work out, I had more than made up for that loss on other trades.
