I find the insanity and stupidity of the Argentina Government almost impossible to believe. They seem to be clueless. I really feel sorry for the people of Argentina. Here is an NYT article dated today:

Passage of the bill came less than 24 hours after President Eduardo Duhalde abandoned a highly unpopular alternative plan to convert $12.5 billion in savings into low-interest long-term bonds. It paves the way for lifting the sweeping ban on bank and foreign exchange operations, a desperate measure which produced an economic paralysis this week that Argentines have been calling "the crisis within the crisis." Government officials announced today that limited banking operations would be allowed to resume on Friday and normal activity on Monday.
