Hydrogen cars and the infrastructure to support them CAN be done. at what cost to support refuel stations, transportation, storage. No one doubts hydrogen cars etc. How many can be produced , at what cost, I thought the city of Los Angeles already was running some of their cars on Hydrogen. Perhaps back in the early 90's Calf put in a law to have x number of service stations be able to supply hydrogen cars.
Going from memory which is not very good these days... Maybe someone is familiar with the program several years ago... then again maybe it never got off the table.

I am just cynical about environmentalists :-)

They are sure to find a desert version of the snail darter to crimp your plans.

Actually I like fuel cells and believe in hydrogen. But if you want it to happen quickly - you might use hydrocarbons with the fuel cells (or at the gas station).

Being cynical comes from seeing environmental policy being absurd. Some studies have shown as much as 50% of pollution comes from 7% of the cars - old cars that should be retired. However the enviro-lobby attacks SUV's and manufacturers for incremental improvements.

Do a google search on 'pollution and old cars'.

Keep the faith,
John
