Are people who are uncomfortable about S&M or who feel adultery is immoral phobic or mean?

No, I don't think that at all. Not at all.

Does there feelings or opinions in these situations say something very negative about them or mean that they are silly?

I suppose it means different things in different cases. In my case, I could probably explicate why many sexual and interpersonal behaviors creep me out. They would probably be different from the reasons, maybe more silly maybe less, that they might creep you or JCD out.

My subject was the meanness and cruelty of calling for social opprobrium against gays, and, secondarily, the silliness, when the implications of generalizations are made concrete, of directing traffic in somebody else's bedroom.

Again, I don't think merely having a personal reaction to anything connotes anything immoral about one.

Trying to get others to jump on your bandwagon in a way that will cause others suffering is a different matter.
