>>Internet

Good reference Darren. I think this paragraph summarizes the situation:

<<That's what you'll hear from Phillip Hallam-Baker, a former member of the CERN Web development team that created the basic structure of the World Wide Web. Hallam-Baker calls the campaign to tar Gore as a delusional Internet inventor "a calculated piece of political propaganda to deny Gore credit for what is probably his biggest achievement.">>

Darren, FL:

I dislike Gores politics, but since I have worked on Internet related projects all of my career (at Cisco the last 9 years) must give some credit.

While Gore did not invent the internet, he did invent the term Information Superhighway. He was also great friend to R&D as a Senator and VP. His policy work did contribute to the Internet we know today.
