jefferson clearly believed slavery was wrong, and even tried to pass laws to stop it.

Notice also that Jefferson kept his slaves and produced a descendant by one of them.

George Washington also clearly believed that slavery was wrong; though he didn't think it was wrong enough to free his slaves until he and his wifed had died.
