Jane apparently drew the short straw, and had to begin her piece with the Cellegy Pharmaceuticals story, today's 50% off special. The reason for the drop, she told us with a commendably straight face, was the company's withdrawal of their NDA for an ointment to treat chronic anal fissures. Then she started on a totally unrelated topic, ratings last night for ABC's "The Bachelor" and how well it did against NBC's Friends (true) and the Fox special you allude to (not so true). Kernan and Bartiromo were cracking up, I could tell.
