Yes, every day the market is open, CNBC is being taped on one of my five VCRs.... I usually save only five days worth, but here and there I have tapes from various years going all the way back to the early 1980s of FNN. Usually I will save a tape if there is something significant on it, like the special CNBC had some years ago where they showed us old video tape of the crew, the day of 911, the 87' crash, etc, etc. Taping has become a habit for me since purchasing my first VCR in 1981, which was a Hitachi model built like a tank and just as heavy! <g> I have tons of old movies, TV shows, tennis matches, the Indy 500 is taped every year, sumo wrestling, etc, etc. People told me the tapes would not last, but even the 1981 recordings play just fine.... The secret is not too store them were it gets too warm or where there is high humidity. I have about 10,000 hours of recordings at this point, so it's a fairly large library.
