Re: Kurds, Philange, etc As a democratic country with close economic dealings with the U.S. and Europe, and as a people who experienced a devastating injustice, i.e.the holocaust, the West has had reason to expect more from Israel than this long-term, oppressive occupation of the Palestinians. It is my opinion that Israel has always considered the entire Holy Land theirs and has engaged in a long term effort to confiscate as much of the land and water of the region as they could get away with. The problem now is that we are the only country willing to continue giving Israel a pass on this and Arab anger is justifiably focused on us. In terms of our interests as Americans, what do you see as a reasonable end to this mess??
