Albert, I didn't have time yesterday to compare the two versions; however, if you check them both out, you find that while the Israeli version sounds very inspirational and bears a resemblance to the truth, the Library sounds a little more factual. It points out the the Israeli army was 100k man strong vs the Arabs' 55k men; the clandestine shipment of military equipment for the Yishuv, the strong support by the US even back then, etc.

And having said all that, yes I think that the Library of Congress version while not too hot nor too cold, probably favors the Israelis more than the Palestinians.
