It points out the the Israeli army was 100k man strong vs the Arabs' 55k men; the clandestine shipment of military equipment for the Yishuv, the strong support by the US even back then, etc. And having said all that, yes I think that the Library of Congress version while not too hot nor too cold, probably favors the Israelis more than the Palestinians. ted BTW the link takes you to the Libray's index, then look under Prelude to Statehood. memory.loc.gov
