odb, I shoot so much that I always wear a shooting glove. I find a revolver of the same caliber has much more recoil than an automatic. For example, my Grizzly 45 magnum kicks much less than a 44 mag revolver. And ditto for my Desert Eagle 44 mag auto. But I can carry a 44 mag snubby in a holster all day while I would tip over trying to schlep around with the Grizzly or Desert Eagle.
