low was precipitated by the terrorist attack and subsequent fear that the consumer would retrench and throw the economy from a mild recession into a full-blown depression I guess you forget about Enron vaporization. I see realization that your 401K plan aint going to let baby boomers retire early at exact time as bosses lining up laser sights for corporate downsizing layoffs of the same boomers is not a pretty sight. Boomer money went into the market in the 90's; majority of what's left over coming out of large cap growth stocks in this millenium. It must be true, I here asset allocation 20 times a day on TV from brokerage firm ads.
