You apparently have no respect for the UN, but it appears to me that Israel respects the UN well enough to remain a member.

CB.. have you thought about the UN's "agenda" here??

After all, it was a camp that THEY ADMINISTERED...

The UN has quite a bit to answer for as to why extremist groups were able to dominate the political and security situation there.

That's like the Pope demanding they HE be given jurisdictional authority over the criminal investigation of these child molestations incidences by priests....

We might trust him, but there is still an OBVIOUS conflict of interest involved here related to a POTENTIALLY VERY EMBARRASSING situation.

They might uncover the likely fact that UN refugee funds and assets were being funneled to supporting these extremist groups.

I'm sorry if you didn't fully understand my perspective..

And frankly, given the fact that they voted the US off the Human Rights commission, while putting Syria on the Security Council... I don't trust the UN.

And this is only exacerbated by the fact that a large portion of the UN members are states lacking a democratic form of government, including those throughout the Mid-East..

That's like letting the fox loose in the hen-house..

And besides, I didn't have a chance to vote for Kofi Annan... :0)

And by all means... let the Palestinians join the investigation. I also believe there should be Israeli members as well.

At least all sides will be able to present their findings, regardless of what the commission finally reveals.
