My comment was specifically in response to your comment on EMC going to 4. I really think it would not be around to 'go back up' if it got to that level because of a takeover. At 3.5 billion net of cash, even with a nice premium I think one of several cash rich large techs would jump at the opportunity...

PS - Yep, they do sometimes go back up, but lots of firms that don't roll with disruptive technology never come back. Many years ago, it was firms like the 'BUNCH', Polaroid, Xerox. Then the next generation, like Wang, DEC, Tandon, etc. etc. These days, isn't it quite amazing how some of America's most prestigious tech firms are selling for *3* bucks a share... (WCOM/LU/NT) As for better plays, gold has not been too bad...
