<< These stocks may move one of these days, but for now are mired in sideways action... 4.INKT >>

Mark,

Regarding INKT, two black candles followed by two albeit short white candles (along with other indicators turning up) tell me that INKT may have bottomed on Wednesday and be ready for a run back to 3. I may bite at 2.50 on Monday in hopes of a 20% paycheck by next Friday.

We'll see!

Meanwhile, I'm a little distracted by the shiny yellow stuff ...

<< NEM did an MACD zero line crossover today..I still think it has 34 potential, and will reboard Monday if momentum returns... >>

Mark,

Great trade on NEM today! I was fully loaded with other golds, so stayed on the sidelines, but watched NEM fight through $30.

Just looked at 10-year chart:

bigcharts.marketwatch.com

30 has been resistance since you started this thread !!! :o)

NEM is my NEMesis, since I bought some at $24 in '98 or '99 and haven't "taken my profits" yet. So few opportunities as $25 proved fairly formidable resistance as well.

I see the support in '95 and '97 around $34 which is now resistance, so I agree that NEM should retrace back from that level on the first (and second?) attempt, but by the third time, it should go through (right?).

Let's try some math: 30 - 13 = 17. 30 + 17 = 47

$47 was resistance in '93, '94, '95, and '97.

Think it might be resistance again?

Perhaps in early June (2002) ???

47 would not be a double for my vintage shares, but I would definitely take a 96% profit, if offered. :o)

I want to be a Jedi, I mean, Gizzard Trader like my (financial) father! Teach me the ways of the financial forces.

Happy weekend - Ken

P.S. What settings do you use for MACD? I don't see the crossover with TC2K set at: Short: 15 Long: 28 Period: 11.

P.S.S. Does Pring's book recommend settings you like? Another book?

Mark, Someone on a Yahoo thread of a gold stock suggested selling NEM calls from a few weeks out, and using proceeds to buy DROOY. I'm not sure if this works out, but is something to think about.

More simply, how 'bout buying NEM calls?

I meant to post HHLF a couple of days ago when I bought it and didn't. Turned out well. Question is do you think it's good to 15?

Looking at those Mark along with old favorites: COSN, CFLO, AIRN, EQIX, UAXS - too many really trading below a $1 now. Also watching JNPR in the high 8's, low 9's as a short term rally to come soon I'm thinking will give way to a decent profit on this one. VRSN is a good shoe drop play in the coming days. Wondering what the nas. is going to do now with so many of the high flyers trading below a dollar and effectively subject to delisting by old standards. I hear new rulings are coming in August.

Agree that gold stocks are pricey here short term. Will be putting some money in tech. by week's end.
