A blind squirrel would do about as well as any other when it comes to finding acorns. "Even a blind squirrel jumps to the next branch, once in a while", perhaps? "Regardless of changing weather... all squirrels instinctively prepare for winter by burying acorns and other nuts during the fall... As the season progresses and less food becomes available, they go and look for the things they have hidden. The squirrels can find the nuts using their sense of smell... A squirrel can sometimes smell an acorn through a foot of snow... cs.umd.edu
