Why take the risk. Bill Gross was on Wall Street Week last night and he seems to believe Greenspan can not leave interest rates this low for very long - maybe 6 months or so. The money supply numbers we are seeing seem to be declining and this will probably take care of some problems between now and 6 months from now.

Greenspan seems to be in a box. I liked Fleck's statement on the law suits going on now but, if someone wanted to start a law suit against the Fed he would think about jumping on board. <g>

T, Borrowing short to lend long always looks good for awhile and always ends up bad. At least Fannie and Freddie can go to Congress and ask them to steal your money when the fit hits the shan. But these guys can't.
