Of course it was a study; and, of course it involved experiments.

"Suffice to to say that no study of 64 men, without control groups, would ever be given serious scientific weight."

You are wrong there. It has been given a great deal of scientific weight. It is also part of the tool-kit of lawyers and judges in examining the motive for hate murders against homosexuals.

The study was incredibly significant as to the disparate results between the two samples of men. What is in question is the interpretation of the results. It is generally believed to indicate support for the theory which already was standard training in psychiatry: to wit, that the homophobic males had latent homosexual tendencies. There is another interpretation, however, which has already been mentioned, that being that, for some unexplained reason, the homophobic males were becoming aroused by their own anxiety. Then one would ask: "What causes their anxiety?" Both samples of men were confirmed heterosexuals.

I find it an interesting line of inquiry, don't you?...considering that it has long been a component of psychoanalytic theory.

Here is one of the authors of the study. Quite an impressive resume.

And this is really ugly! This could have been a real dog like a Golden...

"Finley found himself in court, accused of animal cruelty for fatally beating a dog because he thought it was gay..."
